About the role

The Field Service Engineering Tech (FSET) role involves providing technical support for Zimmer Biomet Surgical Devices. This includes handling, maintaining, installing, and supporting these devices, as well as acting as a key player in complaint investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Potential travel to sites for Zimmer Biomet system installations, troubleshooting, upgrading, and field repairs.
  • Assess technical problems and find solutions or escalate issues to appropriate parties.
  • Act as a liaison between Zimmer Biomet and end customers on communications regarding product performance.
  • Demonstrate and utilize critical thinking in assessing performance and risks associated with installed medical devices.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and maintain professional communication.
  • Provide product feedback and improvements to quality and R&D.
  • Manage and maintain company equipment and documents necessary for servicing activities.
  • Provide on-site support for product demonstrations and educational initiatives.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma with an Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or Laboratory Equipment.
  • Technology or equivalent trade school, hospital, military, or other relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in field support, engineering, or other customer-facing functions, preferably with a medical device company.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Pay

$63,000 - $70,000 USD + benefits

Schedule

Up to 20% travel, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
