Field Service Engineer, PSO, Amazon Prime Air

About the Role

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Product Support Organization (PSO) Field Service Engineer to assist in troubleshooting and diagnosis of day-to-day problems within our ultra-fast drone delivery operations. This role will ensure technical reliability, work closely with design engineering staff, and drive continuous improvement in drone system design. You will be on the front line of drone system operations, establishing close relationships with maintainers and operators, and providing engineering solutions to enhance system uptime and user experience. As Prime Air scales, you will play a key role in launching new sites, providing both remote and on-site technical support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily system performance anomalies and deliver solutions to operations/maintenance teams.
• Assist with launches of new operational sites.
• Lead cross-functional system investigations to optimize drone system performance and drive improvements.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights.
• Create and maintain documentation for technical procedures.
• Deliver measurable system behavior improvements based on data analysis, proactively engaging stakeholders to advocate for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 3+ years of technical troubleshooting or similar experience.
• Experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.
• 2+ years of experience in technical troubleshooting of electromechanical, aerospace, robotics, or automotive systems.
• Experience working in or supporting an operational environment.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is:

• USA, FL, Ruskin: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually
• USA, GA, Pooler: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually
• USA, GA, Stone Mountain: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually
• USA, MD, Sparrows Point: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually
• USA, NC, Durham: $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. The package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
