As a Field Service Engineer you will install, maintain, and repair Fuji Seal equipment at customer sites across the Americas. This role includes troubleshooting technical failures, delivering customer training, and collaborating with internal teams and external customers. Travel is a key component, with 80–90% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair SSL and PSL machinery at customer locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical equipment failures through remote phone support and on-site service visits.
  • Provide customer training on equipment operation and best practices.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to ensure effective problem resolution and reporting.
  • Provide technical feedback and recommendations to support continuous product improvement.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, functional inspections, and equipment evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, reports, and internal records in accordance with American Fuji Technical Services policies.
  • Follow all Health and Human Services (HHS), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and company safety requirements.
  • Perform assigned tasks accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation) required; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support, including both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical background with the ability to read blueprints and electrical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 80–90%, including 20–30% weekend travel as business needs require.
  • Ability to complete 3–6 months of on-site training before traveling independently.
  • Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain a passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, including Rockwell and Siemens platforms, and industrial networking.
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery and automation equipment.
  • Three to five years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, automation, or a field service role.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, walking, climbing, driving, flying, and standing required.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, along with pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
  • Close visual activity required to operate machines and view documents.
  • Exposure to noise, physical hazards, and working in close quarters.

Schedule

  • Up to 80–90% travel, including overnight stays, to customer sites across the Americas.
  • Flexibility for weekday and weekend travel (20–30% weekend travel as business needs require).
