About the role
This role is essential to the success of our customer deployment production operations and requires both technical skill and field service acumen. This position bridges hands-on hardware interaction, field maintenance, software updates, and close collaboration with engineering and operations teams. You will be a key player in keeping our production systems running smoothly in real-world customer environments.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a technical field service, robotics, or hardware support role.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly (30–50% anticipated).
- Proficiency with Linux terminal, remote troubleshooting, and basic shell scripting.
- Strong hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical components and system-level debugging.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in industrial or warehouse environments.
- Capable of interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working with autonomous systems, mobile robots, or industrial automation platforms.
- Familiarity with Python, ROS, or other scripting and robotics platforms.
- Experience working in production environments with safety and compliance standards.
- Experience configuring WiFi, networking parameters, or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or remote monitoring dashboards.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, including time at a desk and in industrial or customer environments.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching to install, maintain, and repair robots.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to communicate clearly, hear, and respond effectively in noisy environments.
