Field Service Engine Technician

About the role

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field.
• Develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
• Affirm compliance with all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Requirements

• (Advanced) Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets.
• Flexibility to work various hours and days of the week with the ability to be on call and available for emergency needs.
• Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Locally valid driving permit.
• Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred). Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution. Locally valid driving permit.

Skills

• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
• Computer skills a must.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• On Call Rotation.

• This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
• A current valid license is required for this role.
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.
• This position requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.

Max Salary: $108240
