Responsibilities
- Assembly of components to build complex machines from the ground up into finished product, following instructions, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Inspection of own work to ensure safety, quality, and proper functionality of equipment.
- Disassembly and inspection of legacy equipment in support of customer rebuild projects to like new condition.
- Perform field service calls to customers' facilities, including troubleshooting, consultation, and mechanical repair.
- Present oneself professionally in person and in written communications.
- Identify sales opportunities for parts, service, repairs, and upgrades.
Requirements
- 2+ years mechanical experience or related vocational education.
- A strong safety orientation and consistent safety consciousness.
- Self-motivated and able to follow instructions and retain training and information.
- Quality-focused and detail-oriented, able to actively participate in a team environment.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical skills, understanding of engineering drawings and schematics, and ability to follow detailed work instructions.
- Knowledge in the use of manual and powered hand tools, powered equipment, precision measuring devices, and cutting tools.
- Basic computer skills to log time and provide briefings on current builds or customer service visits.
- A neat and professional appearance at all times.
- A customer service mentality to enhance customer confidence in the company.
- Able to work and make decisions independently when in customer's facility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that allows insurability under company’s policy.
- Familiarity with Windows programs and Microsoft office tools.
- Ability to obtain a passport for overseas travel as international travel may be requested.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Shop environment, steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses required.
- Additional training and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required and provided by National Machinery related to specific tasks.
- Must be able to regularly lift, push & pull loads of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Work can be strenuous, involving walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, and pulling (such as on torque wrenches), as well as standing for long periods of time.
- Overnight travel to customer facilities, knowledge of and adherence to customer site safety regulations is mandatory.

Pay Range
$55,000 - $90,000 per year
Schedule
- Standard 8-hour shifts.
- 150% paid anytime over 8 hours daily.
- Hours over 45 in a week are paid as double time.
- First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Second Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Friday + 12.5% Shift Premium.
- Third Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday – Thursday + 7.5% Shift Premium.
