Field Sales Representative

Primary Responsibilities
- Engage in product sales and additional promotional sales through consistent and regimented service visits at customer sites;
- Increase incremental sales achieved through displays and cross merchandising;
- Responsible for knowing the budget, metrics, variance, and objectives;
- Merchandise products for display and placement in a way that attracts sales at customer stores and secondary and perimeter locations;
- Reset displays of merchandise at customer locations to enhance display of product;
- Analyze backroom conditions and work backstock to the shelf as necessary;
- Transport product from storage areas and place product onto customer shelves or displays;
- Maintain quality and quantity by rotating products to achieve 100% in-date stats on all items to ensure freshness;
- Pull any out of code items immediately from the shelf;
- Execute Category Rotation Schedule if applicable;
- Create and transmit customer credits for spoiled, returned goods, and/or product replenishment and other corresponding paperwork in a timely manner;
- Establish customer relationships and sustain regular cadence of communications, in order to deliver exceptional customer service;
- Effectively communicate with other sales reps, Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Stockers, and internal cross-functional partners;
- Dust/Clean all products to achieve optimal product presentation to the consumer;
- Maintain clean work environment, which may include picking up trash or cleaning spills;
- Place quality and stock orders for product placement;
- Remove damaged items from shelf;
- Plan and carry out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations;
- Manage timelines to ensure completion of assigned customer and KEHE requirements, and respond to fluctuations in workload to deliver quality customer service according to KEHE standards;
- Coincide and communicate product merchandising needs and customer requirements as needed;
- Report to store and/or replace any missing shelf tags and signage;
- Utilize platforms/applications/equipment in checking in and out of location, as well as tracking of assigned projects and completion, timekeeping, and transmission of orders and credits;
- Operate motor vehicle to travel to and from customer locations throughout assigned territory;
- Attend and participate in team and/or regional sales meetings as requested.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Effective communication, time management, strong organizational and basic math skills;
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently without direct on-site supervision;
- Keep a clean and organized workspace;
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy merchandise;
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends;
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%;
- Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities;
- Willingness to support with ad-hoc assignments and queries;
- Positive, professional, and friendly disposition.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- High School Diploma required;
- Valid driver’s license & clean MVR required;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales of grocery products to chain accounts;
- Microsoft Office experience required;
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends;
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%;
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be exposed to cold or warm temperatures for occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer and outdoors;
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds;
- Ability to stand for entire shift, as well as, bend, squat, push or pull as necessa.
