About the role
NASAM is a leading distributor of High-Reliability (Hi-Rel) electronic components and systems for the global space and defense industries, supporting satellite primes, subcontractors, defense system integrators, launch providers, government and research organizations, New Space startups, and university programs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain, identify, and develop strong relationships with customers in the South Korean defense, military-aerospace, and space markets to sell NASAM's portfolio of high-reliability electronic components and systems.
- Develop and implement competitive account penetration strategies to expand NASAM’s market share within strategic Korean defense and aerospace customers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with procurement, engineering, program management, and executive stakeholders at major Korean defense contractors, aerospace companies, government organizations, and subcontractors.
- Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of our product portfolio and supplier relationships to effectively position solutions within target accounts and programs.
- Understand customers’ current needs and anticipate their future needs, enabling demand creation activities for the wide adoption of NASAM’s entire portfolio.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities in South Korea, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders to inform business decision-making.
- Manage sales forecasts, pipeline development, opportunity tracking, and revenue projections for assigned customers and market segments.
- Lead customer meetings, business reviews, supplier visits, and commercial presentations.
- Represent NASAM at industry conferences, exhibitions, customer events, and supplier meetings throughout South Korea.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Korean.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
- Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking.
- Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic, preferably with Quantum ERP.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of different electronic components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
