What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to grow sales and maximize gross margin.
- Sell new, used, and aged equipment to customers in your assigned territory.
- Operate, trailer, and demonstrate all equipment available for sale.
- Aid customers with financing options and ensure paperwork is accurate and completed timely.
- Continuously grow knowledge of all equipment and stay current on industry trends.
- Organize and participate in trade shows, field days, and promotional events.
- Collaborate with management to forecast annual sales goals and achieve revenue targets.
- Adapt communication style to various audiences and situations for effective engagement.
Qualifications
- High integrity, dependable, and a strong team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-up abilities.
- Motivated self-starter capable of multitasking and working under pressure.
- 3–5 years of outside sales experience in agricultural equipment or a related industry.
- Ability to travel occasionally for training and company meetings.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Strong computer skills.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and farm operations.
- Comfortable with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience in trade show planning and customer engagement.
Compensation Structure
Compensation structure: salary base and commission. Salary is based on skill level, experience, and knowledge.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent life experience.
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred: Trailer Towing Certification.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods while traveling to customer locations.
- Ability to walk and stand during equipment demonstrations, trade shows, and on-site visits.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. when assisting with equipment or promotional materials.
- Capable of climbing onto equipment, trailers, and uneven terrain safely.
- Manual dexterity for handling documents, mobile devices, and equipment controls.
- Adequate vision and hearing to safely operate vehicles and communicate effectively with customers.
