About the role

Ingersoll Cutting Tool Company is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to support and grow the customer base in the California region. The role requires daily travel (approximately 70–80%) throughout the assigned territory, focusing on in-person customer visits, relationship building, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth through technical sales and/or hands-on machining experience
  • Apply cutting tools across various workpiece materials and CNC programming (manual and CAM systems)
  • Support and grow the customer base in the California region
  • Conduct in-person customer visits and build relationships
  • Work independently and within a team environment

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in either technical sales or CNC machining/programming
  • Prior sales experience in the cutting tool industry is a significant advantage
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a high level of professionalism
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety

Qualifications

  • Proven Technical Sales experience
  • Hands-on machining experience applying cutting tools across a variety of workpiece materials
  • CNC programming experience (manual and CAM systems)
