Field Sales Consultant, Exteriors

Responsible for selling the Company's exterior and interior products and services to customers through outside sales visits to customer homes and trade shows. Although sales efforts may take place at a customer's home or through virtual channels, the role involves significant travel and time away from a dedicated office environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel and engage in outside sales activities, primarily in customers' homes.
• Conduct professional and compelling sales presentations, adapting to changing customer needs.
• Assess customer needs, develop tailored price quotes, and present warranty and financing options.
• Complete sales contracts, paperwork, and measurements using industry-standard methods.
• Proactively solicit and acquire new customers inside assigned THD stores and at industry events (e.g., Home Shows).
• Maintain local relationships, educate store associates on HDIS offerings, and drive awareness of HDIS programs.
• Attend sales and store team meetings to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 1+ years of previous related work experience (e.g., in-home sales, home improvement, or lead generation).
• Ability to continuously stand, walk, or lift/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
• Comfortable working in environments with moderate physical discomfort (e.g., dust, fumes, or odors).
• Computer and application skills, including use of email, iPad, and apps.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior in-home or virtual sales experience.
• Prior experience in the home improvement industry.
• Experience with successful lead generation.

Travel

Typically requires overnight travel 5% of the time.
