Field Repair Technician - Manufacturing

Vacuum Instruments Corporation LLC, located in Ronkonkoma, NY, is a designer and manufacturer of leak detection equipment.

About the role

This is a field service position providing technical industrial manufacturing repair service to our customer base within the USA, as well as in-house equipment repair. This is not a computer repair role.

Responsibilities

• Travel within the USA
• In-house customer support during non-traveling periods
• Installation of new industrial manufacturing equipment
• Diagnostic and repair of equipment
• Preventive maintenance
• Customer training
• Technical support via email and phone
• Completion of repair reports

Requirements

• Technical school education or 2-3 years’ experience, or minimum of high school diploma
• Electrical and mechanical experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Experience with voltage meter operation
• Self-starter and dependable
• Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle

Pay

Starts at $26.00/hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

In-person work location. Willingness to travel up to 50% (preferred).
