Field Reimbursement Manager - Chicago Territory

About the role

This is a field-based role providing education to defined accounts regarding access and reimbursement issues in support of Shionogi products. The position requires frequent interaction in the field (60-70% travel) with healthcare providers, hospitals, and physician practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field activities to support appropriate patient access in neurology centers.
• Execute territory plans in partnership with internal stakeholders like sales and market access.
• Educate healthcare provider staff on approved patient access services.
• Review payer policies, including prior authorization requirements, to facilitate patient access.
• Provide feedback to internal teams regarding local payer trends and access challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in payer policy and reimbursement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in benefit verification and prior-authorization.
• Strong knowledge of CMS policies and Medicare Part D.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong interpersonal communication skills.
