About the role

The Recruiter supports the management and human resources teams with full cycle recruiting and other HR responsibilities related to recruiting and onboarding. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting responsibilities including reviewing new applications, scheduling & hosting interviews, and hiring candidates through the Application Tracking System – Jobvite.
  • Create and maintain employee files - complete all new hire EEO/AAP documents and onboarding paperwork.
  • Care for background screening processes including pre-employment drug testing and DOT physicals.
  • Quality Assurance Checks ensuring compliance with background checks, drug and alcohol screens, and E-Verify requirements.
  • Support employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of Recruiting experience, preferably in a DOT industry.
  • College course work in a related field is preferred.
  • Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Physical Requirements

  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work is generally performed indoors within climate-controlled facilities.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • The employee must be able to hear and speak in English as much of the work will be conducted by phone.
  • The employee may need to push and pull objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
