About the Role
The Nurse Educator provides personalized patient education on chronic disease management and prescribed therapies through in-person visits, calls, video, email, and SMS, always aligning with program guidelines. This role focuses solely on education, not clinical care or medical advice.
Responsibilities
- Connect patients with approved educational resources.
- Deliver disease-specific education and training related to medications.
- Support multiple disease states and therapies.
- Promote behavioral change to enhance treatment adherence.
- Encourage effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or BSN preferred; active RN license in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical healthcare experience; prior nurse educator experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 70%.
- Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and motivational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and iPad technology.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing environments.
