Field Metering Specialist — Network & Metering Survey

Conduct pre-mobilization review of site documentation including network topology, IP scans, and meter lists.
Identify known offline meters and confirm site readiness before field deployment.
Perform full on-site electrical sub-metering and network health surveys.
Inspect and document every meter in electrical rooms (not just failed devices).
Verify Modbus TCP communications for SEM3 controllers and AcquiSuite systems.
Validate meter data accuracy by comparing SEM3 readings with AcquiSuite outputs.
Diagnose communication failures including hardware, network, configuration, wiring, and mapping issues.
Validate CT polarity, phase rotation, and import/export direction.
Record CT details including ratios, wiring, breaker mapping, and configurations with photo documentation.
Prepare complete meter status reports covering all devices (communicating and non-communicating).
Document network topology including AcquiSuite, Modhoppers, and SEM3 infrastructure.
Provide prioritized remediation plans for system repair and optimization.
Upload all field data, photos, and reports into designated platforms.
Cook up with facilities staff, electricians, and internal engineering teams.
Escalate critical issues including safety hazards and system failures.

Experience with electrical sub-metering, CT systems, or metering instrumentation.
Knowledge of Modbus TCP/RTU and BACnet protocols.
Experience troubleshooting metering or electrical communication systems.
Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and network topology maps.
Experience working in commercial or industrial electrical environments.
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Comfort working in electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, and field environments.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 75%.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
