About the role
The Field Mechanic supports project sites across the service area by performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on fleet equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and servicing on various fleet equipment following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Travel locally to project locations, with occasional overnight stays, supporting operational needs.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist less experienced mechanics and participate in safety and technical training.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in vehicle or equipment repair or completion of vocational/technical training with 4+ years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proficiency with mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Physical & Working Conditions
Must be able to work independently, follow safety rules, and operate tools and equipment effectively.
Pay
$42.87/hr
