Field Mechanic (Union)

About the role

The Field Mechanic supports project sites across the service area by performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on fleet equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and servicing on various fleet equipment following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Travel locally to project locations, with occasional overnight stays, supporting operational needs.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist less experienced mechanics and participate in safety and technical training.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in vehicle or equipment repair or completion of vocational/technical training with 4+ years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

Physical & Working Conditions

Must be able to work independently, follow safety rules, and operate tools and equipment effectively.

Pay

$42.87/hr
