Field Mechanic (Union)

About the role

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on fleet equipment across project sites within the designated service area, mainly in Iowa. Diagnose issues, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with regulations such as OSHA and EPA. This role involves local travel, responding to emergencies, and working overtime when needed. A company vehicle, fuel card, and lodging are provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks
• Diagnose mechanical and technical issues
• Conduct safety inspections
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
• Travel locally to project sites
• Respond to emergency repair situations
• Work overtime as required
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety and ethical standards

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in heavy truck or equipment repair
• Vocational training with relevant experience may substitute for years of experience
