Field Marketing Manager

Cogent · San Francisco, CA · 1 wk ago
On-siteMarketingFull-time

About the role

Cogent is building autonomous cyber defense with AI agents that help security teams move from finding risk to actually fixing it. This role sits within the Demand Generation arm of Growth and partners closely with Sales, SDR, Partnerships, Product Marketing, and RevOps. The mandate is to help turn regional programs, executive events, partner activations, and big industry moments into qualified meetings, pipeline, and stronger account relationships. This is a hands-on execution role with real leverage.

Responsibilities

  • Help build regional and account-based field plans aligned to pipeline targets, priority accounts, sales territories, and partner opportunities.
  • Support the right mix of executive roundtables, dinners, roadshows, conferences, partner activations, customer/prospect events, and VIP experiences.
  • Partner with Demand Gen and Sales to connect field programs to digital, content, outbound, and nurture so programs are amplified before and after the event.
  • Maintain a field calendar, program briefs, account lists, meeting goals, budgets, and success metrics.
  • Run end-to-end execution for assigned field programs: planning, logistics, venues/vendors, invitations, on-site experience, materials, speaker coordination, and follow-up.
  • Make every event feel high-quality, intentional, and connected to the Cogent brand.
  • Coordinate tightly with AEs, SDRs, Partnerships, and leadership so target accounts are invited, followed up with, and converted into meetings and opportunities.
  • Help build repeatable playbooks, workflows, and AI-assisted tracking systems to manage logistics, tasks, vendors, follow-up, and reporting across programs.
  • Track event performance across registration, attendance, target-account engagement, meetings, SQLs, pipeline, deal acceleration, and ROI.
  • Partner with RevOps to keep attribution, campaign membership, follow-up, and pipeline reporting clean.
  • Support co-marketing and channel activations with partners, including regional programs, deal-registration follow-up, spiffs, and better-together stories.
  • Use AI and automation to improve event research, targeting, personalized outreach, logistics tracking, task management, post-event follow-up, recap assets, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years in field marketing, event marketing, partner marketing, demand generation, or marketing/program operations in B2B SaaS or technology; cybersecurity interest or experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting or running events, webinars, field programs, or partner activations tied to pipeline goals.
  • Strong project management skills to keep logistics, vendors, budgets, calendars, stakeholders, and follow-up moving.
  • Comfortable working directly with Sales and SDR teams on target accounts, invite lists, event conversion, and follow-up.
  • Good taste for customer/prospect experience and brand quality; detail-oriented enough to make programs feel polished.
  • Curious with data: willing to inspect registration, attendance, meetings, pipeline influence, ROI, and what to repeat or stop.
  • AI-forward operator who looks for ways to automate research, outreach, logistics tracking, workflows, recaps, and reporting without losing quality.
  • Willingness to travel for events and field activations as needed.
