About the role
The role is a relationship-driven sales position with long-term income potential through commissions. Applicants must be new to ACG.
Responsibilities
- Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high-traffic ACG branch.
- Leverage proven sales methodologies and insurance expertise to uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, and grow ACG's insurance portfolio.
- Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, and close sales while maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations aligned with branch and company goals.
- Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions; quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients to ensure high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
- Respond to customer inquiries with a high level of professionalism and urgency across insurance, membership, and financial products.
- Identify and execute cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services lines of business to maximize overall member value.
Requirements
- Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
- Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products.
- Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment (i.e., financial/banking)
- Insurance experience is helpful—but not required. Training provided to help you get licensed and confident in the role.

- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities, including disciplined lead tracking, follow-up, and pipeline management.
- Apply consultative selling techniques supported by deep product knowledge to deliver tailored solutions and drive customer value.
- Prominent prospecting and business-development skills, including generating new opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, and networking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset and confidence in guiding sales conversations.
- Results-driven with clear ambition, motivation, and accountability for achieving and exceeding performance goals.
- Proficient in leveraging technology to support sales execution, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong listening and discovery skills with the ability to quickly assess customer needs, identify coverage gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Pay
$5,000 Ramp-up Bonus: Additional income during onboarding and training period. Base pay, non-exempt, plus performance-based incentives, allowing high performers to significantly increase overall earnings. Average annual earnings range: $57,000–$87,000+, based on performance and sales results.
Schedule
Work in a temperature-controlled AAA branch location. Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends. Some travel to local events may be required.
