Job Summary
The Field HR Generalist supports field leaders with staffing, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and HR processes across locations. This role offers valuable experience in employee relations, talent management, workforce operations, and compliance, preparing employees for future HR leadership roles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary HR resource for field leaders, providing guidance on HR programs, processes, policies, and available resources.
- Communicate key HR updates, deadlines, and initiatives through established communication channels, including district meetings, leadership calls, and written communications.
- Coordinate staffing activities across multiple locations, including monitoring requisition progress, supporting hiring initiatives, and facilitating hiring events.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and field leaders to support recruiting priorities and workforce needs.
- Track open positions and provide visibility into hiring progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Support the successful integration of new team members and leaders through onboarding follow-through and process adherence.
- Partner with leaders to address training gaps and support workforce readiness.
- Support performance review processes by tracking completion, communicating deadlines, and assisting leaders with required action steps.
- Reinforce Team Member Relations processes, including Performance and Conduct Improvement (PCI) procedures, and ensure leaders understand expectations and required documentation.
- Maintain awareness of employee concerns and route complex or escalated matters to the appropriate HR partner while ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate recurring HR activities, including benefits-related actions, engagement survey follow-up activities, compliance requirements, and HR calendar events.
- Run and analyze HR reports, including staffing, training completion, compliance metrics, and workforce data.
- Support compliance with company policies, employment practices, and applicable to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
- Collaborate closely with HR Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, Team Member Relations, Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Business Partners to support organizational objectives.
- Ensure smooth coordination and follow-through on HR initiatives affecting field operations.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance the employee and leader experience.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of core Human Resources practices, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations processes, and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a multi-location environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively support and influence field leaders.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions or resources.
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and reporting tools.
- 2 to 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist, Coordinator, Specialist, or field support capacity.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience supporting multi-site, retail, service, hospitality, healthcare, distribution, or other operational environments preferred.
- Experience working with HR systems, reporting tools, and employee data management preferred.
Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions
Standard office environment with extended periods of computer work.
Travel Requirement
Occasional travel may be required.

There are eligibility requirements for each plan based on your position, hire and/or service date and your average hours worked. Benefit eligible team members may also accrue vacation hours. Compensation
All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan. Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above). Washington State: Receive 40 hours of sick time on your first day of employment. After 6 months of employment, accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours, inclusive of time carried over. Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education. Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant.
- Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $73,140.00-$91,425.00 (Exempt), $35.16-$43.95 (Non-Exempt)
- Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $76,320.00-$95,400.00 (Exempt), $36.69-$45.87 (Non-Exempt)
- Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $68,688.00-$85,860.00 (Exempt), $33.02-$41.28 (Non-Exempt)
