Field CTO

For our client, we are seeking a Field CTO to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. In this remote leadership role, you will help shape executive-level technology strategy and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You will translate complex modernization priorities into clear business outcomes, connecting technology investments to enterprise value, governance, and long-term transformation. This position also plays an important external-facing role, representing the organization in market conversations, partner discussions, and thought leadership forums. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Set a credible technology vision and multi-year transformation strategy for executives. Frame decisions in business terms, explaining options and tradeoffs. Champion modernization efforts to unlock value and create demand. Connect technology investments to measurable enterprise value and governance. Serve as an external technology voice at industry events and forums. Publish thought leadership content to establish market presence. Cultivate senior relationships within the partner ecosystem to shape opportunities. Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, such as Field CTO or Chief Architect. Proven track record of advising C-suite executives in Fortune 500 companies. Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and enterprise-scale adoption. Strong executive communication skills to translate technology into business impact. Experience shaping technology offerings and driving market differentiation. Established relationships with hyperscaler and platform partners for joint solutioning.
