Job Summary
The Facilities Design and Construction Departments at NYP are responsible for creating a built environment that supports and enhances NewYork-Presbyterian as a leading academic health care provider. Key responsibilities include managing capital projects, ensuring compliance with hospital guidelines and regulations, and conducting job site inspections.
About the Role
This position serves as an assistant project manager for construction and interior design projects across NYP. The successful candidate will assist with RFP development, attend project meetings, and manage various aspects of the construction process, including site inspections and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Attend and document project meetings
- Arrange site visits as needed
- Compile and verify data for design, budgeting, and scheduling
- Conduct job site inspections
- Ensure compliance with hospital guidelines and external regulations
- Prepare reports on project progress and safety
- Oversee the placement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for capital projects
Requirements
- Associate's Degree with minimum 4 years of related experience, or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret client needs and manage multiple tasks
- Experience on construction job sites
- Willingness to learn and collaborate
Preferred Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or Construction
- Experience with Project Management

Pay
The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $87,500 annually.
Schedule
This is a full-time position working on projects affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center.
