About the role
Next Solutions is a rapidly growing telecommunications and in-home services company. We partner with major internet, cable, and smart home service providers. Our technicians deliver high-quality installation, troubleshooting, and customer service directly to customers' homes.
Responsibilities
- Install and activate cable television, broadband internet, and phone services
- Perform new service installations, reconnects, upgrades, and service transfers
- Troubleshoot service interruptions and diagnose connectivity issues
- Install and configure modems, routers, converters, and cable boxes
- Run and secure interior and exterior wiring
- Relocate and install cable outlets and network connections
- Educate customers on equipment operation and service features
- Ensure proper signal levels and service quality
- Follow company safety standards and installation procedures
- Complete assigned service work orders and installation requests
- Provide exceptional customer service during every installation visit
Requirements
- Previous experience installing satellite TV, broadband internet, or telecom systems preferred
- A High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in telecommunications, cable installation, internet installation, or technical field service preferred
- Sales or customer service experience a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors and in customers' homes
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly
- Ability to work 5–6 days per week including evenings and weekends

Qualifications
- Valid driver's license

- Experience operating the following equipment: Coaxial cable installation tools, Signal testing equipment, Modems and routers, Cable converters and receivers, Network wiring tools, Smart home connectivity devices

Pay
$39,359 – $92,067 per year
Schedule
This is a field-based role requiring full-time travel to customer locations, within a 100-mile service area around Detroit, Michigan. The typical schedule is 40-50 hours per week, including weekends as needed.
