Field Assurance Lab Technician – Req Lab, shipping & receiving experience (FedEx Software)

Location: Tempe, AZ • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Shift: 1st shift (7AM – 4PM) • Employment Type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens, GC Holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT only)

About the Role

This position is a Technician for Field Assurance (FA) responsible for maintaining the day-to-day activities in the Field Assurance (Complaint Handling) Lab. The associate will contribute to the completion of complaint returned sample analysis in a timely manner. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, microscopes, biosafety practices, good laboratory practices, and working in a clean room atmosphere is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and disinfection of lab spaces
  • Collect, record, and analyze sample analysis results data accurately
  • Conduct sample analysis testing outlined in protocols
  • Decontamination of complaint samples received in the Lab
  • Documentation of complaint samples received for evaluation purposes
  • Identify and escalate all unexpected sample analysis results to the supervisor and franchise team
  • Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) when recording preliminary and sample analysis results
  • Maintain good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with biosafety laboratory practices
  • Maintain a clean and safe lab work environment
  • Maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers and support staff
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and tracking
  • Storage and disposal of complaint samples in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Support continuous improvement of lab processes and test methods
  • Understand and follow procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Use calibrated laboratory equipment and tools

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Lab experience
  • Shipping & receiving experience (FedEx Software)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Basic problem-solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proof of Hep B series, willingness to undergo Hep B series, or signed waiver
  • Technical writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in technical studies, science, math, or engineering
  • Medical industry (GMP) and/or lab experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Lab Safety Skills
  • OGP Flash 500 Smartscope experience
  • Oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to perform testing per written directions

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment
  • Frequently required to verbally communicate with other associates
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch

Work Environment

The employee may work in an open cubicle environment and must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting.
