About the role

Join the Field Assembly and Installation team responsible for installing, maintaining, assembling, and repairing industrial power systems enclosures and components in settings such as manufacturing plants, power stations, and construction sites. This position ensures systems are assembled correctly, troubleshoots and diagnoses issues, and collaborates with engineers, electricians, and construction site management teams while adhering to all safety, industry, and company regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite assembly, installation, diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting, fitting, repair, and maintenance of parts, fuel and/or exhaust systems with intermediate knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring practices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and correct manufacturing imperfections as needed.
  • Fabricate and install custom parts or components.
  • Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision instruments proficiently.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineered drawings to solve complex problems under pressure.
  • Review service orders, schedule and coordinate field service appointments for repair work.
  • Develop and implement troubleshooting plans based on provided information.
  • Adjust timelines and remain flexible with changing field and site conditions.
  • Deliver top-notch service and customer assistance during site visits, building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Resolve difficult customer situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Review service reports with customers to verify completed work and obtain signatures.
  • Communicate quality control and engineering-related issues to drive product improvements.
  • Collaborate across the company to foster positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, and team leaders.
  • Produce detailed service reports and accurate timekeeping for all field visits.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required).
  • 2+ years of experience as a millwright or industrial electrician (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience working in adverse conditions such as inclement weather, high pressure, short timelines, and heights (preferred).
  • Broad mechanical and assembly experience with fuel/exhaust systems and piping (preferred).
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle to out-of-state job sites and maintain a clear driving record for commercial insurance.
  • Reliable attendance, respectful, responsible, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and maintenance of a clean, organized environment.
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time, with little to no prior notice.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch for 8-to-10-hour days, carry up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to arrange and coordinate cost-effective travel (hotels, flights, rental cars, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
