The Freight Forwarding Recruiting Supervisor ensures alignment of business objectives between employees and management, focusing on recruiting execution and workforce operations control to ensure staffing readiness, accurate manpower visibility, and disciplined coordination of HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition Execution & Staffing Delivery
    • Lead facility-level recruiting execution to fulfill approved manpower requirements, working closely with operations leaders to confirm hiring needs, priorities, and timelines.
    • Coordinate recruiting activities with HQ recruiting resources and external staffing agencies to ensure timely placement of both permanent and temporary workforce.
    • Manage recruiting workflows from requisition intake through hiring closure, ensuring readiness for onboarding and operational deployment.
    • Proactively identify staffing gaps and recruiting bottlenecks and drive corrective actions to meet operational demands.
  • Workforce Planning, Headcount & Organizational Control
    • Own and maintain manpower status, headcount tracking, and organizational charts to provide accurate and real-time workforce visibility; communicate changes to HR Manager.
    • Monitor vacancies, staffing levels, and hiring progress against approved workforce plans.
    • Prepare workforce and staffing reports to support operational and leadership decision-making.
    • Ensure employee records and organizational data remain accurate, current, and audit-ready.
  • Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations Coordination
    • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding readiness, HRIS data entry, and separation documentation, in accordance with established procedures.
    • Ensure required employment documentation and employee records are properly maintained.
    • Review workforce-related data, including attendance, hours worked, and leave usage, to ensure data accuracy impacting manpower visibility and payroll inputs.
    • Coordinate corrections and adjustments with HQ shared services as required.
    • Serve as the primary operational liaison between the facility and HQ HR teams for HR execution matters.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans; review benefits with employees and process enrollment.
    • Assist with benefits cancellations, changes, and catch-up requests.
    • Administer COBRA for group health plans.
    • Assist with annual open enrollment communications and election process.
    • Maintain and distribute lists of new and canceled employees under each benefit plan.
    • Verify benefit billing accuracy and process for payment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5-8 years of direct experience in Human Resources or Recruiting.
  • 1 year experience supervising a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years experience managing a team.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification.

Skills

  • Great written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as knowledgeable resource to the executive management team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods.
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing.
  • Stand/walk.
  • Carry/lift up to 20 pounds.

Working and Environmental Conditions

  • Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure.
  • This position will be located in Duluth, GA; primary work location is subject to change to Buckhead within the year.
  • The role may require flexibility to work between current (Duluth) and future office (Buckhead) location.

Pay

$69,641 - $78,522 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
