Role Overview
The Fertilizer and Inventory Specialist manages product shipments and transfers between branches and the distribution center while supporting all aspects of customer service, including product selection, order processing, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer, sales, and branch orders accurately and on time.
- Cook shipments and transfers with trucking companies and internal teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams for product selection, order processing, and inventory management.
- Track inventory and conduct physical counts of bulk storage areas.
- Operate truck scales, complete bills of lading, and handle hazardous materials documentation.
- Provide backup support for dispatch and reception as needed.
- Maintain a professional image in all interactions and communications.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; fluent in English.
- Strong math, computer (MS Office), and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of fertilizer blending, compatibility, and DOT regulations preferred.
- Experience with AgVance and Fleetworthy/Comply is a plus.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid safety compliance record.
Compensation And Benefits
The base compensation for this position ranges from $24.09 to $32.11 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on skills and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
