Female Social Personal Assistant – MCONCL
We are currently recruiting for an experienced personal assistant for a loving, happy little boy with Autism, Spectrum Processing Disorder, and Global Developmental Delay.
About the Role
Marley requires full supervision as he will eat non-food items and has no awareness of danger. He resides with his mum and two dogs, so being animal-friendly is essential. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children with autism.
Marley enjoys sensory-stimulating activities such as trampolining, swimming, and trips to local parks. He thrives on exploring new venues with enclosed spaces to broaden his community experiences. Routine is crucial for Marley, as sudden changes can cause dysregulation. Due to his non-verbal autism, he communicates through hand gestures and leading to express his needs.
On rare occasions, Marley may become dysregulated, so coping strategies must be demonstrated to ensure his safety. He enjoys music, dance, playing with water, and uses a fleece blankie for self-soothing. Marley is independent in eating and drinking but requires monitoring of his food intake.
