Fellow - General Medicine - 2027
Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community-based services.
About the role
The General Medicine Fellow role is a leadership position suited to an applicant who has preferably finished their Advanced Training in General and Acute Care Medicine. The Fellow role provides the opportunity to consolidate the skills required to work as a consultant with support from specialists in the department. There is also opportunity to develop specific areas of interest, including research, education and point of care ultrasound.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and participating in unit meetings
- Mentoring junior medical staff
- Liaising with medical workforce
- Regularly communicating with the General Medicine leadership team
