2027-2028 General Surgical Pathology Fellow

Job Duties

• Perform duties of academic surgical pathologist including diagnostic interpretation of H&E and ancillary diagnostic tests for both in-house cases and extramural consultations.
• Participation in multidisciplinary conferences.
• Frozen section and surgical pathology call coverage.
• Gross room supervision.
• At the microscope teaching of residents and medical students.
• Completion of at least one quality improvement project, educational initiative, or research project with a subspecialty faculty mentor.
• Independent sign out of 1-2 weeks on each of the core services with faculty back up.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified U.S. based pathology residency program.
• Unrestricted WI Medical License required by start date.
• Board eligible or board certified in anatomic pathology (AP) or combination of anatomic pathology and clinical pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology (ABP).
