Feeling good to help others feel good
Kelloggsville — Elementary, middle and high school students recently participated in the Be Nice Stomp Out Stigma event, which focused on spreading positivity, inspiring kindness, and promoting movement. The event included activities to help students regulate their emotions, such as deep breathing exercises, blowing bubbles and pinwheels, dancing with ribbons, yoga, and making self-affirmations. The initiative is tied to mental health awareness, aiming to help students build confidence and become role models for others.
About the Role
Our videographer documented the event, connecting the themes of kindness and mental health. This role involves producing compelling video content that highlights unique stories of students learning, innovative school programs, and educators working to support children's success.
Responsibilities
- Produce promotional and lifestyle video content for WOOD TV8.
- Create compelling stories in a creative video format for local schools.
- Document events and initiatives that promote mental health awareness and student well-being.
- Manage freelance video production projects under Be Heard Productions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in TV Production or related field (Ferris State University preferred).
- Nearly six years of experience in broadcast television.
- Strong storytelling skills with a creative approach to video production.
