About the role

Responsibilities

• Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e. grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers
• Sample and receive ingredients by truck and monitor ingredients inventory levels
• Manufacture feeds to ensure that they meet specifications and food safety requirements
• Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands
• Keep accurate, legible records
• Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace

Requirements

• Local to Hedrick IA area
• Regular and reliable transportation
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
• Attention to detail
• Ability to clean and organize work areas
• Interpersonal skills for working with other employees
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work
• Above average skills in teamwork, decision making, taking responsibility, and integrity

Pay

Starting Pay: $21.35 plus depending on feed mill experience

Reporting to: Feed Mill Manager

Travel: May travel 1-3 times per year
