About the role
JBS Live Pork Hedrick IA is looking for a full-time Feed Mill Production Technician reporting to the Feed Mill Manager.
Essential Responsibilities
- Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e. grinders, batching scales, mixers, feed cleaners, pellet mills, coolers
- Sample and receive ingredients by truck and monitor ingredients inventory levels
- Manufacture feeds to ensure that they meet specifications and food safety requirements
- Schedule production based on priorities and customer demands
- Keep accurate, legible records
- Perform housekeeping tasks, maintain a clean workplace
Required Qualifications
- Local to Hedrick IA area
- Regular and reliable transportation
- Basic math & computer skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
- Attention to detail
- Ability to clean and organize work areas
- Interpersonal skills for working with other employees
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to speak, read, and write in English
- Available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in feed milling or industrial manufacturing work
- Above average skills in teamwork, decision making, taking responsibility, and integrity
