Feed Mill Operator

The feed mill operator is responsible for receiving, inspecting and process ingredients to produce high-quality feed. The operator will load out appropriate feed to feed tankers for delivery to the farms and will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Requirements Receive bagged, dry bulk, liquid and pneumatic ingredientsOperate fork lift to unload bagged ingredients into proper storageComplete inventory analysis of ingredients for FILO processMaintain housekeeping of ingredient and feed areas per OSHA standardsSample dry, liquid and pneumatic ingredientsOperate ingredient truck and feed mill receiving and load out equipment on a daily basisOperate feed batching, grinding, pelleting and liquid application equipment on a daily basisMonitor pellet throughput and qualityUtilize OSHA safety standardsUtilize lock out - tag out process as required for equipment inspection and maintenanceMaintain proper safety equipment required for position - hardhat, safety glasses, steel toed shoes Benefits In addition to very competitive pay employees of Prestage Farms receive: Vacation PayHoliday Pay401(k) PlanMedical Insurance Voluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Etc
