Federal Project Manager - Missile Defense Agency Support (MDA)
About the role
The Federal Project Manager will function in a project leadership capacity on Department of Defense contracts. In this role you will manage multiple small to medium sized Services projects, support aspects of Business Development, and manage multiple Federal clients and/or projects, with specialized emphasis for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple small to medium sized Services projects
- Manage multiple Federal clients and/or projects, with specialized emphasis for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
- Support aspects of Business Development, obtaining new/repeat business on medium size projects; supports contract negotiations with client peers
- Reduce risk to B&Veatch by managing profit on fixed price engineering projects, managing risk implementing new technology or working with new clients
- Act as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individuals comprising this team may vary by project.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience working with A/E design teams associated with the U.S. Department of Defense
- Experience with full project lifecycle from proposal to design to construction
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)
- Experience with AFCEC, NAVFAC and/or USACE
- Experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- Experience with Business Development, Business Acumen, Execution and Leadership

Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. Professional office environment with potential for limited site visits to Federal and mission critical facilities.
