Responsibilities
- Federal Partnership Compliance
- Lead the adoption of an insourcing model for the Federal partnership income tax compliance function.
- Create entity-specific workpapers to support the Form 1065.
- Develop an instruction guide to train and develop other staff members.
- Data Management and Return Preparation
- Review federal book-to-tax adjustments.
- Prepare and review the partnership returns (Form 1065) and all related schedules.
- Compile taxable income information from internal and external investments.
- Assist with the preparation and review of the consolidated 1120 and provide M3 support.
- Tax Calculations and Analysis
- Review federal tax calculations and adjustments (non-fixed asset).
- Analyze and support complex federal tax positions, including pension and benefits adjustments, Section 163(j), and CAMT.
- Support the tax provision process, including forecasts, tax provision, and audit support.
- Tax Credits and Incentives
- Partner with third-party providers to complete R&D Credit studies.
- Calculate and prepare federal credits for reflection in OneSource (OIT).
- State and Local Tax Compliance
- Review and prepare complex state partnership and corporate income tax returns.
- Research and analyze federal tax positions.
- Coordination and Process Management
- Coordinate with other Senior Managers and Associate Directors.
- Streamline and optimize tax processes using digital finance tools.
- Build relationships with various internal teams to improve compliance, accounting, and reporting efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience, including federal partnership income tax experience.
- Experience with Alteryx, AI, and other digital tools.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to independently challenge the status quo and build consensus.
- Effective time management and multitasking skills.
