Responsibilities

  • Develops and nurtures long-term relationships with client senior management.
  • Develops solutions for clients and champions the implementation of ideas.
  • Reviews and confirms engagement objectives, scope, and work plan with client.
  • Identifies engagement resource requirements and ensures the most appropriate resources are assigned to specific assignment roles.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and resolves complex engagement issues.
  • Sets up and monitors engagement budgets for review by the assignment partner, monitors realization, utilization, and accounts receivable progress.
  • Works with the partner group to generate leads, contacts, and sales – including developing and closing assignment proposals.
  • Manages the group to ensure profitability in the short and long term.
  • Supports the partner team in identifying and promoting the development of new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market requirements.
  • Supports the partner team in the development and planning of practice unit strategy, objectives, and budgets.
  • Develops a specialty niche in which his/her technical knowledge is relied upon heavily by the firm.
  • Identifies and develops new initiatives to increase retention, meet resourcing needs, utilization, and people development.
  • Buys into strong coaching skills to mentor key talented managers in the business.
  • Shares and transfers knowledge and skills to the team.
  • Engages in ongoing personal development.

Qualifications

  • Licensed CPA
  • Accounting degree
  • 10 or more years of public accounting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and project management skills
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • A developing area in a field of expertise and industry profile
  • A strong knowledge of firm products and services
  • A sound understanding of market trends
  • Strong team management skills – the ability to lead, motivate and coach teams of people
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop less experienced team members
  • Active role in professional, civic, and charitable organizations
  • Motivated: learn, develop your career, and succeed
  • Client minded: friendly, professional, and a problem solver
  • Collaborative: you value a team-oriented atmosphere
