What you’ll do:
- Tax professionals at ENGIE may support transaction tax, federal tax, partnership tax, and strategic tax planning functions.
- Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct tax research on federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Business teams
- Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives
- Specialized Responsibilities:
- Federal/Corporate Tax: Prepare federal tax returns and provisions, reconcile deferred tax balances
- Partnership Tax: Prepare K-1s and partnership workpapers, analyze partnership agreements
- Indirect/Transaction Tax: Manage sales and use tax compliance, support audits and reconciliations
- Strategic/Planning: Lead tax planning initiatives for renewable projects and M&A, review agreements and assess tax risk
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience in tax or accounting
Minimum Requirements:
- Tax Analyst I: 0+ years of experience
- Tax Analyst II: 3+ years of experience
- Tax Senior Professional: 5+ years of experience
- Tax Advisor or Manage: 7+ years of experience
- Tax Sr. Advisor: 10+ years of experience
Additional Information:
- Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Use a company computer
- Eligible for a hybrid schedule consisting of in-office and work-from-home opportunities
