My name is Jose Maldonado and I am the District Manager for H&R Block in San Diego. My District covers Point Loma, North Park, Hillcrest, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, Downtown, Chula Vista, Eastlake, San Ysidro and Rancho San Diego. I am looking for new and experienced tax professionals to join my team for this upcoming Tax Season.
About the role
If you have ever thought of starting a career in taxes, or have been doing this for some time and are thinking about joining H&R Block, this is an opportunity to consider. For those new to tax preparation, H&R Block offers a 12-week Virtual Tax Course beginning in September. Enrollment and completion of the course is neither an offer nor guarantee of employment.
H&R Block has been focused on quality client service for more than five decades and is the largest tax preparer in the industry. As an H&R Block tax professional, you will prepare complete and accurate tax returns while delivering outstanding client service and generating new clients through local marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Grow our client base through local marketing efforts.
- Serve clients by preparing complete and accurate tax returns.
- Expand tax expertise and knowledge continuously.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a contract, in-person position for the upcoming tax season.
