Federal Developer - AWS/Amazon Connect
Job Summary
Thunder continues to expand its AWS partnership and is seeking an Amazon Connect Developer to join its Federal team. This role involves developing cutting-edge cloud solutions, particularly those leveraging Artificial Intelligence, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS implementations, a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence, and multiple AWS certifications. They should also demonstrate expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build AWS Connect infrastructure using a service-oriented architecture and AWS core services (API Gateway, Lambda, Lex (Voice/Chatbots), Polly, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Bedrock, and more).
- Develop automation scripts (such as cloud formation) to optimize operational processes, serverless functions, and cloud integrations.
- Analyze business processes and translate them into Amazon Connect standalone and AWS-integrated Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage AWS and Salesforce integrated projects.
- Stay updated with AWS and Salesforce releases, leveraging new features to improve cloud and CRM functionality.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS development, cloud architecture, and automation in the Federal space.
- Expertise in AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudTrail, IAM, Amazon Q, Bedrock, and CloudWatch.
- Deep knowledge of serverless computing, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Experience building AI-driven chatbots with Amazon Lex and designing contact center solutions using Amazon Connect.
- Understanding of call flows, IVR trees, email/chat channel design, and contact center operations.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Node.js, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours to align with US time zones as project work requires.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one AWS Associate Level Certification.
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate.
- Salesforce Certifications (a plus): Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Consultant Certifications in Cloud areas of expertise.
- Experience with APEX development and Salesforce platform customization.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud object model, omni-channel, and Service Cloud Voice.
- Strong language skills - fluency in English, both written and verbal.
