Federal Client Account Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow DoD accounts and expand service offerings within the federal market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with DoD clients, ensuring alignment with their missions, priorities, and strategic goals.
- Lead business development efforts including identifying opportunities, capture planning, strategic pursuits, and proposal efforts.
- Support oversight of federal programs and contracts to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.
- Cook with Federal Project Managers and project teams to monitor project performance and resource allocation.
- Lead the development of proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), presentations, and promotional materials.
- Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Engage with Federal Project Managers, Contracting Officers, and agency representatives to support existing contracts and identify future opportunities.
- Coordinate with discipline directors to support staffing plans and project resource needs.
- Provide updates to executive leadership regarding client relationships, project performance, growth opportunities, and potential concerns.
- Mentor and support project managers and technical staff as needed.
Job Requirements
- A four-year college degree is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, client management, federal programs, or DoD-related projects.
- Military experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting and Department of Defense programs.
- Experience leading client development efforts and strategic pursuits within the A/E/C or federal consulting industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to travel up to 50% or more as required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
