About the role
The FBS Coordinator I provides direct financial support and coordinates various university and departmental business operations. Key responsibilities include processing accounts payable transactions, preparing and updating reports, assisting with account verification, and supporting One Card non-travel reports.
Responsibilities
- Enter and review travel expense reports
- Prepare and update standard reports
- Aid in account verification or reconciliation and research discrepancies
- Assist with gathering transaction data/information
- Prepare and coordinate documentation of basic purchasing documents
- Enter documentation for contracts, receipts, and invoices in the appropriate system
- Review documents for mathematical accuracy, proper coding, compliance, and approval
- Assign commodity or account codes to requisitions and invoices
- Research and communicate policies and procedures to units or departments
- Coordinate problem-solving and training for customers on tracking, payment issues, or general expense questions
- Provide administrative support for departmental financial operations
- Assist with monthly reconciliation of Texas A&M University and Texas A&M Foundation accounts
- Track outstanding invoices, payment deadlines, and reconciliation activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of related experience
Qualifications
- Proficiency working in financial databases
- Experience with office management and/or financial management
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
