FBM Operational Integration Manager
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or technical related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with direct and collaborative interaction with the U.S. DoD customers, including knowledge and experience with customer technical processes, business practices, operational processes and organizations
- Demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team through complex integration activities, to include influencing effective outcomes through cross-team collaboration
- Demonstrated knowledge of project or program management including planning, preparation & proposal activities; scope execution activities; risk, opportunity, & issue management; & resource utilization
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance & thus a US Citizen
Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a results driven Project Engineering Manager who will serve as a part of the FBM Program Integration Directorate’s Operational Resilience & Integration Pillar. This position will supervise the FBM Production & Requalification Integration Team & the FBM Logistics Integration Team. This position will be responsible for identification, oversight, & planning of shared & common production, requalification, and logistic scope activities for the multiple FBM sub-programs (D5LE, D5LE2, CMC, UKTSC, Mk7, etc.). This position will serve as a primary cross program integration point which will include working across and within the FBM Program to address: technical/requirement differences, programmatic cost and schedule constraints, and all production, requalification, & logistic scope interdependencies. This position will also serve as the FBM Program’s focal point for Program Governance & Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Baseline Management - Partner with internal & external stakeholders to define, track, and re‑plan program production baselines. Align baseline updates with customer milestones and contract requirements.
- Production Enhancement - Identify and implement process improvements to shorten cycle times and increase throughput.
- Transportation Oversight - Coordinate budgets for transportation contracts and other program expenditures. Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and de‑conflict competing priorities.
- Special Vehicle Management - Serves as the primary contract point for the program, coordinating with multiple directorates to plan, oversee, and manage the special‑vehicle portfolio.
- Governance & SOP Enforcement - Develop, maintain, and enforce program directives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure consistent, compliant execution across all functional areas (engineering, manufacturing, logistics, etc.)
Desired Skills
- Direct experience working on the FBM Program or an equivalent operational strategic weapon system
- Experience in developing & documenting trade studies, performing the associated analysis, & making risk based decisions on best value to an overall program/mission
