Fast Power Project Developer

Responsibilities

• Partner with prospective customers and the Sales organization to shape high-value, fast-paced projects leveraging B&W’s industry-leading products and services.
• Drive initiatives from concept to executable plans, ensuring strategic alignment, technical soundness, and profitable, long-term success.
• Develop and manage the execution of B&W’s project development efforts, particularly for FastPower projects.
• Work in an environment filled with ambiguity, helping to clarify points as the project progresses.
• Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends and competitive positioning affecting the new build generation ecosystem.
• Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support proposal efforts, and participate in should-cost and pricing reviews.
• Select partners and EPC teams, develop relationships with Owners/Operators, and manage the Go/No-Go and Bid/No-Bid Meetings.
• Ensure proposals have compelling value propositions, technical accuracy, and competitive positioning, and negotiate major commercial terms.
• Coach and manage proposal teams to develop accurate and compelling responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Lead the contract negotiating team and close deals, and participate in the project turnover to the Project Manager and team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project development and execution within the energy sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and develop cost models.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work in ambiguous environments and influence decision-making.
• Experience in managing relationships with customers, sales teams, and EPCs.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage complex projects.
• Knowledge of industry trends and competitive positioning in the new build generation ecosystem.
• Experience in proposal development and negotiation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
