About the role

Devereux Arizona’s Community Based Services provide rapid, intensive, in-home support for youth between the ages of 2-17, focusing on essential life and emotional regulation skills, behavior reduction, anger management, coping with trauma-related behaviors, and communication techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Teach essential life and emotional regulation skills to youth in various settings such as home, school, group home, foster care, or kinship placement.
  • Work with the Child/Family Team, handle intakes, manage cases, and maintain charts and documentation.
  • Provide crisis and safety planning, family support, and coaching to youth and their families.
  • Coordinate with community supports to ensure the best outcomes for the youth and their families.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of full-time behavioral health work experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling at least 2 years.
  • A valid Arizona Driver's License and a 36-month clean driving record.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and job demand assessment.
  • Pass a drug test within 24 hours of the offer.
  • Have a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of full-time behavioral health work experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling at least 2 years.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Skills

  • Experience working with families and at-risk youth in behavioral health settings.
  • Ability to teach essential life and emotional regulation skills.
  • Knowledge of behavior reduction, anger management, and communication techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay Range: $21 - $23.10/hr.
  • Full-Time Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday; ability to work afternoons/nights (as late as 8:30pm).
