About the role
Join a multi-practitioner clinic that has provided care to the Beaver Valley region for over 40 years. Situated in the walkable downtown core of Fruitvale, BC, you will be practicing rural family medicine within a 15-minute drive of Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (75 beds, 80,000 population) in Trail, BC, which offers comprehensive specialist services. This opportunity allows you to customize your practice and experience professional growth.
Practice options
- Part-time clinic and hospital-based care
- Various sub-specialties including ER, Hospitalist, Long-term Care, Psychiatry, Obstetrics, and Surgical Assist
- Choose your preferred work schedule with flexible hours
- 8-12 weeks of vacation and education leave annually
- Optional teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
- No call requirements
Facility and team
- Modern, purpose-built building with 4 offices and attached exam rooms, 3 additional offices, a well-equipped minor surgery room, ECG equipment, and a staff lounge
- MedAccess EMR
- Part of the KB Primary Care Network with nurses, a social worker, and an occupational therapist directly supporting the clinic
- Access to a regional team of allied health providers including a pharmacist, registered dietician, and respiratory therapist
- Collegial team of practitioners and knowledgeable, experienced staff
- Support in administration of your chosen compensation model (fee for service or Longitudinal Family Practice Model)

Compensation
- Salary: $400,000 - $475,000
- Physician Overhead: 30-33% (Fixed plus variable. Inquire for details.)
- Vacation Leave: 6-8 weeks/year
- Retention Premium: 11.48% (in accordance with Rural Subsidiary Agreement)
- Retention Flat Fee: $17,790.72
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000-15,000
- Recruitment Incentive: $15,000 based on FT
- CME Funding: Up to $4,840 yearly
