Family Practitioner/General Practitioner

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the growing team at the Aspen Maternity and Women’s Health Clinic within Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. This is a 0.30 FTE position, which would provide the option to design your own practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide team-based care to patients throughout pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum
• Deliver pre-conception counselling, LARC placement and removal, and pregnancy loss management
• Provide prenatal, intrapartum and post partum care
• Assist in managing unplanned pregnancies

Qualifications

• Family physician with a passion and comfort providing care for women and families
• Strong communication skills when dealing with both colleagues and patients
• Motivation to become an active member of the local medical community
• Keen interest in providing supportive women’s health care to a diverse range of women and families

Schedule

• Clinic is open weekdays
• Evening and weekend call is rotated through the team

Benefits

• May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
  • Retention Premium 11.48%
  • Retention Flat Fee $17,791
• Relocation Funding Available $9,000 – $15,000 based on move location
• Recruitment Incentive $15,000 (prorated based on FTE)

Pay

Estimated remuneration $60,000 – $100,000 depending on number of shifts
