Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Practice in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate should have experience in pain management, though we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient to determine the extent of pain and follow pain treatment guidelines and protocols to improve the patient's quality of life
• Order and review diagnostic studies when medically relevant
• Manage patient care and progress including medication management and procedures
• Perform procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, US guided injections, and migraine therapies (botox)
• Consult with MDs for procedures such as epidural injections, kyphoplasty, etc.
• Collaborate with MDs, PAs/NPs, and other support staff for comprehensive care
• Document patient exams, evaluations, and progress visits
• Provide patient education on treatment plan options, diagnosis, and medication management
• Attend company meetings as necessary
• Maintain continuing education for self-education and license maintenance

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Current and active Nevada PA/NP license
• Pain management experience a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Obtain both the Nevada CS pharmacy license and the DEA license

Pay

$130k - $135k per year (with bonuses - depending on experience)

Schedule

M-F 8a to 5p (8 hr day) or four 10 hr days
