About the role

Comprehensive Community Action (CCAP), a Joint Commission Accredited, NCQA Level III Federally Qualified Community Health Center, is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a growing, multi-service, multi-site Family Medicine practice. The Patient-Centered Medical Home integrates oral and behavioral health care with family-centered case management programs. Providers work within a team consisting of a nurse, medical assistant, social worker, patient navigator, and nurse care manager to support patients through all aspects of their care. The practice uses the NextGen electronic health record system, integrated across all disciplines. Opportunities are available for special population interests, and the practice sponsors J1 Visa applications with multi-year contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a strong clinical background in Family Medicine
  • Supervise and oversee clinical support teams
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Commit to community-oriented practice and increasing access to preventive and primary healthcare for underserved communities

Requirements

  • Licensed in Rhode Island (or eligible)
  • Community-oriented with a desire to work with underserved populations
  • Bilingual preferred

CCAP providers are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act of 1992 and 1995, providing statutory immunity from individual malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment.

Pay

$135,000–$155,000 annually

CCAP operates four locations in Rhode Island, offering a comprehensive approach to healthcare and social needs. Rhode Island features 400 miles of New England coastline, beaches, surfing, seafood, boating, fishing, historic Newport mansions, river fires, charming villages, local farms, hiking and biking trails, and walkable cities. The organization is ideally located between New York City and Boston for easy day or weekend trips.
